In the last six days Selena Gomez has worn two Versace looks on the red carpet. That may not sound too shocking/exciting, but she's currently making that awkward transition from teen star to superstar (someone play Britney's I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman) and is clearly turning to Donatella for style guidance. Selena Gomez kicked off her Versace extravaganza with an under-the-sea inspired look for her Macy's fragrance launch, last Saturday, and then chose a baby-blue Versace mini dress for a charity event in Hollywood, on Tuesday.
I totally understand 19-year-old Selena is trying to shake up her image, but I'm not sure either Versace look was right for her. I'd prefer to see her rocking one of the citrus-y dresses from the Autumn/Winter 2012 collections. Paired with statement heels (the nude pumps above are a bit Kate Middleton) and some fun jewellery she'd have a grown-up style that would get her noticed.
