Olivia Palermo unveiled as the face of Carrera y Carrera fine jewelry

Beautiful and amazing Olivia Palermo always manages to appear fresh, interesting, unique and sophisticated, which is due to her incredible smile, gorgeous locks and flawless and chic appearance. Now the 25-year-old American socialite and fashionista has been selected as the new face of the Spanish jewelry brand Carrera y Carrera and poses for their collection, called “Mediterráneo”, where she embodies the beauty of goddesses and nymphs, who used to explore the sea of the Spanish coast.

The shooting of this fresh and inspiring campaign took place in Ibiza, where Olivia was photographed by Santiago Esteban, styled by Isabel Ottino and her makeup and hair were done by Víctor Álvarez. She poses in stunning and unique pieces of the collection, which draws inspiration from the sea, its vitality and magical power.
Carrera y Carrera wanted to bring a tribute to the modern woman through their “Mediterráneo” collection. “Just like the goddesses and nymphs, living and exploring the sea of the Spanish coast, full of passion and vitality.” The collection contains rings, earrings and necklaces in yellow and white gold and with diamonds, all of which have mythological names, such as Calypso, Aphrodite, Actaea, and Athena.
The brand Carrera y Carrera dates back to 1970, when the Spanish brand became famous to the world for their unique and impressive designs and great mastering of details. Their gorgeous creations appeared in numerous popular magazines, such as Vanity Fair, L’Officiel, Vogue, Elle, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, and InStyle.
For their summer 2011 collection, they chose Olivia Palermo, who truly embodies simplicity and elegance of the pieces, featured in the “Mediterráneo” collection. This is far not the first collaboration of the beautiful fashionista with a Spanish label. Last year alongside with her model boyfriend Johannes Huebl she appeared in the ad campaign for Mango’s Fall/Winter 2010 line.
In an interview with “Vogue”, Olivia spoke about fashion and her style, saying: “When I get dressed in the morning, I think about versatility – and I’d be lying if I said the weather wasn’t a factor. I love layered looks using vests or jackets, but sometimes I feel my best in a great pair of jeans and a fabulous T-shirt.”
