Target Teams With Prabal Gurung for Spring 2013

Target is partnering with celebrated designer Prabal Gurung to introduce a limited-edition collection of affordable women’s apparel and accessories, including handbags, shoes and jewelry. According to his website, he’s been a favorite of First Lady Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton, The Duchess of Cambridge. And Oscar nominated actress Jessica Chastain has also been photographed wearing several of Prabal Gurung’s gowns.

In 2010 Gurung was the recipient of the Ecco Domani Fashion Fund Award and selected as runner up for the 2010 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. In 2011, he was honored as one of USA Network’s Character Approved Award recipients, named goodwill ambassador of Maiti Nepal, a finalist of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award and was the recipient of the 2011 CFDA Swarovski Award for womenswear.
Prabal Gurung for Target was inspired by a tender love story, offering women’s apparel and accessories suitable for all occasions from the initial crush to the first kiss, to everlasting love.

Ranging in price from $19.99 to $199.99 for apparel and $12.99 to $39.99 for accessories and shoes, Prabal Gurung for Target will be available February 10, 2013 at all Target stores and Target.com.
